Description

An inspiring journey into the teachings of the Yoga Sūtra of Patañjali, considered by many as the main reference text for Yoga. The course will provide many insights into the nature of the mind, its psychology, an array of practices according to the individual, and a substantial amount of food for thought regarding how and why we should live. It is suitable as an introduction to Yoga, allowing for a deeper understanding from the start, or to the seasoned practcioner who would like to dwell deep into the the true nature of the Yoga school.

The course will be delivered in 8 sessions, covering most of the main topics of the Yoga Sūtra of Patañjali.

About the instructor

Bernardo has been studying and teaching Yoga and Meditation for over a decade. After owning a Yoga studio in Brazil for several years, he went to travel and study in Asia. For the past 4 years he has been working exclusively with Plantation Villa, a Yoga and Meditation Retreat Centre in Sri Lanka. He has learned mostly under the Krishnamacharya tradition, with teachers including the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, the Mohan family, and Dr N. Chandrasekaran, in Chennai, India. He is also a Healing Chants Teacher (KYM), an Ayurveda therapist, and currently developing the knowledge of Sri Lanka Indigenous Medicine.
